NIRvana Sciences Successfully Tests its Bacteriochlorins for Photoacoustic Imaging
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, October 28th, 2016 – NIRvana Sciences runs successful phantom proof of concept tests in photoacoustic imaging at Wake Forest University. Tests were conducted on bacteriochlorin dyes using a VisualSonics Vevo 2100 Imaging System using a tunable laser offering excitation between 680-970nm.

NIRvana Sciences Presents Five Violet-Excitable Chlorin Dyes at CYTO
SEATTLE, WA, June 12th, 2016 – NIRvana Sciences scientists is presenting a poster at the 31st Congress of the International Society for Advancement of Cytometry (CYTO 2016) entitled: “Chlorins: A Novel Family of Violet Laser-Excitable Red to Far-Red Fluorophores for Polychromatic Flow Cytometry”. Working together with scientists at North Carolina State University, NIRvana Sciences demonstrated that a palette of five violet-excitable chlorins with narrow emissions between 603nm and 719nm can be effectively separated using conventional flow cytometer optics and commercially available filter sets.

Chris MacNevin Joins NIRvana Sciences Chemistry Team

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, March 1st, 2016 – National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) awarded NIRvana Sciences a Phase II grant to further develop its bacteriochlorin dyes for use in flow cytometry applications.
